Welcome to the Department of Pediatrics of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine website. Our faculty, trainees and staff aspire to excellence in scholarship and research, education, clinical service and child advocacy. I invite you to explore these pages, where you will find information about our programs, activities and accomplishments.
Our department's activities are centered at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago (Lurie Children's, formerly Children's Memorial Hospital), consistently cited as the top pediatric hospital in Illinois and one of the most highly rated children's hospitals in the nation. In addition to serving as a tertiary referral center for the region, the hospital serves as a major community pediatric facility, reflecting our commitment to care for the underserved. Research and educational activities take place at Lurie Children's, Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute, the Feinberg campus and pediatrician offices throughout Chicago.
We are leading the way and helping to shape the future of pediatric medicine. Our main hospital opened in 2012, increasing patient capacity, improving technology and creating a closer connection to the medical school campus. Our vision is to provide a healthier future for every child. Physical growth, increased capacity and training the future leaders in pediatric medicine bring us ever closer to realizing this bold vision.
I encourage you to contact me or any of the Department of Pediatrics' faculty if you have questions or would like further information.
