kidSTAR Medical Education Program
The kidSTAR medical education program enhances patient safety and promotes excellent clinical care delivery through rich experiential learning that empowers multidisciplinary teams.
At kidSTAR, we provide a flexible learning environment for all health professionals to practice key clinical skills, develop high-quality teamwork and communication skills in a psychologically safe environment. We bring years of experience to the process of creating immersive learning experiences, both in the laboratory and the clinical setting, providing immediate review and feedback.
We develop and implement simulations that focus on interprofessional teamwork, crisis resource management and ommunication skills. Our learners span a broad range of clinical disciplines, including pediatric, emergency medicine and family practice residents; fellows, nurses and APNs; ancillary clinical care providers; Feinberg medical students, student nurses and physician assistants; global outreach residents; and clinicians from Lurie Children's partner hospitals.
The faculty members on the kidSTAR team are committed to excellence in clinical care, patient safety and medical education. They have years of experience in a broad range of disciplines. Please visit their faculty profiles for more information on the focus of their work and scholarly activity.
