Physician-Scientist Training Program
The McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University pediatric residency program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago wants to recruit residents with MD-PhD degrees or otherwise have unique experiences that indicate a strong commitment to a career in research. The Physician-Scientist Training Program (PSTP) experience is designed to facilitate the development of accepted candidates into academic clinician-investigators.
Pediatrics PSTP Program information available via the Starzl Academy site
The Starzl Academy serves as an umbrella over PSTP programs across Northwestern Medicine clinical departments and seeks a community that connects individuals to the investigative component of their training throughout their programs, exposing them to the full breadth of opportunity here at Northwestern and encouraging multidisciplinary interaction and collaboration.
With great sadness, we announce that Dr. H. William “Bill” Schnaper passed away on November 19, 2020, after a long illness. Bill was a committed scientist and scholar who always prioritized education and mentorship as essential to multiply the modest contributions of individuals. His enthusiasm for scientific discovery and collaboration was inspirational. He will be greatly missed.
