Rebecca Stephen

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine)

Rebecca Stephen, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Ann & Robert H Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. She is the Medical Director for the Center for Quality and Safety and co-chairs the Quality and Safety Oversight Committee for Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago.

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine)

Primary interests lie in Pediatrics, specifically newborn care and neonatology

Vishal V Naik

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine)

Vishal Naik is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician at Ann & Robert H Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. He focuses on advancing pediatric care provided in the prehospital setting through systems and education-based interventions at the local and national levels. His involvement in this area includes the Emergency Medical Services for Children, the National Pediatric Readiness Project, and the Pediatric Pandemic Network. 

Kristin J Krosschell

Professor, Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences, Pediatrics

Primary research focused on clinical outcome measures in Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) and surrogate outcomes for clinical trials, and exercise and participation in SMA. Board member participating in collaborative efforts developing and providing competency based education for those engaged with patients with SMA and their families STEP-IN SMA. Lead the Northwestern PT GoBabyGo! Program examining early mobility adaptations and use in young children. Also a member of Pediatric Assessment Labs (PALs) at PTHMS.

Karna Murthy

Professor, Pediatrics (Neonatology)

My interests are within the Children's Hospital Neonatal Consortium (CHNC: http://www.thechnc.org). The CHNC focuses on infants with uncommon congenital anomalies and/or acquired complications related to preterm birth in 50 regional NICUs in the United States and Canada. We aim to describe the care and outcomes for a population of critically-ill infants that has not been a traditional area of focus in neonatal registries. Justyna Grothaus

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Neonatology)

My academic interests are primarily focused on improving neonatal care and neonatal patient safety through quality improvement efforts.  I participate in both Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative (ILPQC) and Children's Hospital Neonatal Consortium initiatives.

Susan M Slattery

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Neonatology)

Susan Slattery , M.D., MS is an attending physician in the division of Neonatology and Center for Autonomic Medicine in Pediatrics (CAMP). Her long-term goal is to define the development of respiratory and autonomic control in premature and term infants; identify maturational milestones of physiologic stability in infants to optimize opportunity for growth and neurodevelopment; and provide ongoing clinical care for high-risk children with related deficits to optimize well-being, neurocognitive outcomes, and quality of life for each patient and their family.

Caren Mangarelli

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Advanced General Pediatrics and Primary Care)

I am a primary care pediatrician with special interest and knowledge in nutrition and obesity prevention and treatment. I am the Medical Director of the Lurie Children's Wellness and Weight Management Program and the Lurie Pediatric Bariatric Program. I also have additional training in healthcare quality improvement and safety. 

Lucy A Bilaver

Associate Professor, Pediatrics

Dr. Bilaver is an applied health services researcher with expertise using administrative data for research purposes. Her research focuses on children with special health care needs including autism spectrum disorder and food allergy. As a team scientist, she collaborates with pediatricians, allergists, and informaticists using observational and interventional study designs for causal inference. She focuses on timely issues in pediatric health services research that have policy implications.

Jennifer S Wicks

Instructor, Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine)

As a hospital-based pediatrician, Dr. Wicks works at both Lurie Children's Hospital and Prentice Women's Hospital with clinical areas of focus including management of critically ill newborns in the Neonatal ICU. Dr. Wicks' interests also include clinical education of medical students and residents.
