Karim A Diab

Associate Professor, Pediatrics (Cardiology)

Karim Diab, MD, FACC, FASE, is currently the director of the fetal cardiac research and education program at Lurie Children’s Hospital and is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Diab earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut and completed his fellowship training at the University of Chicago. His research interests include machine learning, natural language processing, time series analysis, integrative genomic analysis and big data analytics, with a focus on medical and clinical applications. He is the Chief AI Officer at the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute (NUCATS) and at the Institute of Augmented Intelligence in Medicine (IAIM).

Horace R Hambrick

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Nephrology)

Dr. Hambrick is a pediatric nephrologist with a special interest in optimizing drug dosing for children on dialysis, particularly critically ill children in the ICU receiving continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). He completed medical school at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine, where he received the Alpha Omega Alpha award for the student who attained the highest scholastic average across 4 years of training, the Rosa Nemir Award for excellence in Pediatrics, and the Community Service Award for Outstanding Service to the local community. Joseph Collins

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Neurology and Epilepsy), Pediatrics (Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine)

Dr. Collins is a board-certified pediatric neurologist with a specialized focus on sleep medicine, providing comprehensive care for children with neurological disorders and sleep-related issues. With advanced training in both fields, Dr. Collins integrates a multidisciplinary approach to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, including epilepsy, headaches, developmental delays, obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, and hypersomnolence disorders. Dr. Collins works closely with families to create personalized treatment plans to improve quality of life affected by both neurologic and sleep conditions.

Sanghee Kim

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine)

Dr. Kim is a pediatric hospitalist at Lurie Children's. Her clinical interests include general pediatric patients including care of hospitalized children, care coordination, and sedation services.
