Our People
In the Pediatrics Residency Program at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago we pride ourselves on a tradition of camaraderie. For the past two decades, the residents and faculty in our program have created an environment with the paramount goal of achieving optimal working relationships. Having built a reputation with a true "esprit de corps," we exhibit a great deal of pride in what we do, and we have a good time doing it. Our residents represent a broad ethnic, educational and cultural spectrum, making us a diverse group and helping us create this special atmosphere.
The number of medical schools represented by our housestaff exceeds half the total number of residents themselves. This is a reflection of the broad distribution of applicants to our program. This diversity adds immeasurably to our group spirit and to our challenging and inquisitive environment. Through our program of retreats, social gatherings and informal get-togethers, the residents form a tightly knit community, entwined with the hospital staff, faculty and administration.
