Jill H Samis

Associate Professor, Pediatrics (Endocrinology)

I am a pediatric endocrinologist engaged in clinical care and clinical research. My clinical interests are in the care of children with long-term endocrine sequelae of childhood cancer, thyroid disorders, growth disorders, and disorders of puberty. I participate in the multidisciplinary STAR (Survivors Taking Action and Responsiblity) clinic and participate in theFertility & Hormone Preservation & Restoration Program.

Charles W Morrow

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine)

My clinical interests include health and nutrition, obesity, procedural sedation, and the care and coordination of the medically complex child.My educational interests include the oversight and evaluation of pediatric residents.

Zachary S Hammer

Instructor, Pediatrics (Hospital-Based Medicine)

Dr. Hammer is a hospital pediatrician at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago. His academic and clinical interests include Hospital Medicine on the medical floor and intensive care unit, medical education, and working in close collaboration with child and adolescent psychiatry for the betterment of pediatric resiliency and mental health. 

Sara Cherny

Research Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Genetics, Genomics, and Metabolism)

Sara been practicing for 18 years as a genetic counselor in the Chicagoland area, specializing in cardiovascular genetics for the past decade. Her wide range of experience allows her to provide comprehensive care for patients at the Cardiovascular Genetics Clinic at Lurie Children’s Hospital. Sara's role is a combination of patient care, program development, and research. Her research interests include trends in cardiovascular genetics, access to genetic services, genetic privacy, and genetic discrimination. Anisha Kshetrapal

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine), Medical Education

Anisha Kshetrapal is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine) in the Department of Pediatrics of the Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She is a pediatric emergency physician and medical education researcher with research expertise in the use of qualitative methodologies to study entrustment and other phenomena. Jennifer Kusma Saper

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Advanced General Pediatrics and Primary Care)

I am a primary care pediatrician within the Division of Advanced General Pediatrics, and have a particular academic interest in health care policy and understanding how children access health care. I am passionate about improving access to primary care for disadvantaged youth, and having safety net policies in place so that all children have access to high quality care.

Nancy L Kuntz

Professor, Pediatrics (Neurology and Epilepsy), Neurology - Ken and Ruth Davee Department

Dr. Nancy Kuntz is a child neurologist with additional board certifications in Pediatrics, Electrodiagnostic Medicine and Autonomic Medicine. Dr. Kuntz joined the Departments of Pediatrics and Neurology at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine in December 2009 and is Medical Director of the Mazza Foundation Neuromuscular Disorders Program, the PPMD Duchenne Care Center and the MDA Care Center at Lurie Children’s. Jean A Junior

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine)

Jean Junior is a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Lurie Children’s Hospital. She also serves as a pediatrician with Doctors Without Borders. Jean is interested in policy advocacy and research to address social determinants of health, such as child poverty. Her research primarily focuses on how tax policy can be designed to help maximize child survival and well-being.

Brian Tho Hang

Assistant Professor, Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine)

With dual certifications in pediatric emergency medicine and primary care sports medicine, my past research interests have incorporated these two fields. My previous projects focused on sports related head injury evaluations both in the field with sports medicine and in the emergency room. Other interests that I have is utilizing ultrasound for musculoskeletal evaluations in the clinic and emergency room settings.

Rajesh Kumar

Professor, Pediatrics (Allergy and Immunology)

Dr. Kumar has worked as an academic allergist at Lurie Children's for over 18 years. He has a number of research interests. Most prominently he is interested in the prenatal and early life exposures, which in combination with genetic factors are associated with the development of early childhood wheezing, atopic disease and asthma. Dr. Kumar also has interests in a number of other areas including:the determinants of lung function from childhood into later adult life (CARDIA study), development of food allergy in early infancy, and validation of PROMIS instruments in asthma (AAD-PEPR study).
